HCLTech’s new facility, covering 3,20,000 square feet, will provide advanced cloud, AI, and digital transformation solutions to global clients in sectors such as hi-tech, life sciences, and financial services.

With the addition of this facility, HCLTech’s footprint in the city will expand to five centers, with a total seating capacity of 8,500.

Global technology leader HCLTech is set to expand its presence in Hyderabad with the launch of a new tech center, which is expected to create 5,000 additional jobs. The announcement was made following a meeting between Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, and HCLTech CEO and Managing Director C Vijayakumar during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos.

The new facility, covering 3,20,000 square feet, will provide advanced cloud, AI, and digital transformation solutions to global clients in sectors such as hi-tech, life sciences, and financial services, according to an official press release.

“Hyderabad, with its world-class infrastructure and high-quality talent pool, has been a key location on HCLTech’s global network. The new center will bring cutting-edge capabilities to our global client base and contribute to the local technology ecosystem,” said Vijayakumar. He invited the chief minister and IT minister to inaugurate the new facility next month.

Welcoming the expansion, Revanth Reddy stated, “The new tech center reaffirms Hyderabad’s continued attraction for global IT companies and further consolidates its position as a leading IT hub in the world.” IT Minister Sridhar Babu highlighted the state government’s commitment to strengthening the tech and innovation ecosystem in Hyderabad, with a focus on expanding into tier 2 and tier 3 cities to create more opportunities for local youth.

He assured full support for HCLTech’s growth in the state. HCLTech has been operating in Hyderabad since 2007. With the addition of this facility, the company’s footprint in the city will expand to five centers, with a total seating capacity of 8,500, the release noted.
