2025 Grammy Awards: Kicking off music’s biggest Night, the 67th Annual Grammy Awards arrived with a mix of bespoke and bizzare red carpet looks.
The 67th Annual Grammy Awards red carpet kicked off on a musical and fashionable note. While the award ceremony saw live performances and artistes from the music industry winning accolades for their respective nominations, the red carpet saw its shares of hits and misses.
This year saw the big names from the music industry dazzle on the red carpet in an array of silhouettes featuring couture gowns, tailored suits and dresses. From Taylor Swift’s custom Vivienne Westwood corset short dress, Cardi B bold, fierce striped Roberto Cavalli gown to Sabrina Carpenter’s JW Anderson vintage glam silhouette and Beyonce’s custom Schiaparelli embroidered gown, the Grammys 2025 was witness to some versatile looks.
However, with every showstopper look that was celebrated, there were equal amounts of Misses that grabbed everyone’s attention. Be it the Mrs. Emperor’s New Clothes – Bianca Censori, sheer naked dress, Jaden Smith’s Vampire Castle headgear by ABODI, and the cut-out gowns, the red carpet had it’s fair share of bizarre silhouettes.
RED CARPET HITS
Gown With The Wind
Gowns play an integral carpet of red carpet fashion. At the 2025 Grammy awards, there were a couple of silhouettes that worked wonders for the celebrities who wore them. Looking straight out of a modern royal painting, Beyonce exuded grace and glam in a custom Schiaparelli embellished gown with embroidery detailing. Similarly, Sabrina Carpenter looked stunning in not one but two gowns. For the red carpet she chose a JW Anderson pastel backless silhouette and to receive her award she opted for a strapless gold gown that fit her like a glove. Celebrating vintage core in her red carpet look was Charli XCX who looked stunning in a custom Jean Paul Gaultier corset gown with ruffle detailing.
India Shining
Manish Malhotra and Rahul Mishra’s designs were spotted on Grammy-winner Chandrika Tandon (Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album – Triveni) and American rapper and actor, Queen Latifah respectively. While Chandrika opted for two indo-western ensembles from the world of Manish Malhotra, Queen Latifah paired her blazer set with Rahul Mishra’s 3D futuristic cape which took 12000 hours to craft and featured around 66 pyramidal structures in four different sizes.
Comfortably Chic
While some opted for uncomfortable silhouettes on the red carpet, the majority of celebrities chose to keep it comfortable and chic. Taylor Swift came prepared to have a gala time and dance, when she was spotted in a custom Vivienne Westwood short red dress instead of a full-length gown. Billie Eillish’s black and white red carpet style was all about comfort and we love how she channelled her personal style on and off stage.
RED CARPET MISSES
The Naked Truth
While sheer silhouettes were a haute favourite on the red carpet, with celebrities including Shakira, Madison Beer, Chrissy Teigen, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton adorning see through dresses, the one celebrity who won on how not to dress for the red carpet was Ye aka Kanye West’s partner, Bianca Censori. Biana stepped on the red carpet wearing nothing but a sheer bodysuit. The naked dress or should be say the Mrs. Emperor’s New Clothes, caused some gasps on the red carpet.
The Mad Hatter
Everyone likes to have a little fun with accessories. However, Jaden Smith’s hat trick didn’t add much to this red carpet look. The Vampire Castle headgear designed by ABODI felt like a gimmick.
Cut it Out
The Cut-Out gown needs a break from red carpet looks. From Miley Cyrus, Latto to Olivia Rodrigo and Victoria Monet, the style was once again spotted at the 2025 Grammys. After from the cut-out detailing. Hope the upcoming award ceremonies have celebrities pick less cut-outs and more cutting edge silhouettes.
