Meghan Markle is no stranger to making statements with her style choices, knowing very well that all eyes will be breaking down the inspiration and meaning behind the look.
The Duchess of Sussex is currently accompanying her husband Prince Harry in Canada for the nine-day events at the Invictus Games.
It appears that Meghan once again declared her allegiance to one particular royal member as King Charles and Queen Camilla held celebrations at their royal residence.
During the second day of Invictus, Meghan watched the wheelchair basketball match between Nigeria and USA, wearing a notable accessory honouring her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
Atop her navy knit-sweater and dark slacks, the former Suits actress wore a grey blazer with burgundy detail, similar to the one Diana wore back in 1984 during a hospital visit.
The appearance came on the same day, on Sunday, as the monarchs shared an update on the star-studded dinner held Highgrove Garden, with Harry’s former pals, David Beckham and Victoria in attendance.
Despite reports of a possible reconciliation between Harry and his family, there seems to be no contact between the Sussexes and the royals.
Even though, the Invictus Games, which were founded by Harry in 2014, also had the involvement of Prince William, Kate Middleton and the then-Prince Charles. So far, the King has not acknowledged the event despite the success that it has garnered over the years.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan are continuing with their appearances at the Games, cheering on and supporting the competitors. After three days in Vancouver, the Games have now moved into Whistler.
