Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received a pleasant surprise from King Charles despite the Sussexes’ ongoing feud with the royal family.
The monarch has reportedly jumped into action and stopped the Palace from any kind of decision that ‘humiliates’ his son and daughter-in-law.
For the unversed, Harry and Meghan stepped down from their senior royal roles back in 2020. As a result, the late Queen Elizabeth removed their HRH titles.
However, the Montecito couple still used their honourary titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
There have been calls from Palace aides to strip down their Duke and Duchess titles after their controversial statements against the key royal figures.
But, the Mail reported that an insider close to the monarch claimed that King Charles is “not a punitive man and would never want to humiliate” Harry and Meghan.
The source revealed that Buckingham Palace was “considering all options on the table” but removing their Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s titles “would not be considered.”
