Bank Holidays 2025 in India: Bank branches across India are set to close for up to 8 days, except for second Saturdays and Sundays, in March 2025. As per the RBI’s holiday list under the Negotiable Instruments Act, banks will be closed for several holidays, including Holi, Id-Ul-Fitr and many more next month, depending on the states and cities.
All scheduled and non-scheduled banks will observe public holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays, along with Sundays.
Online Banking Activities To Resume During Holidays
However, online banking services will continue as usual without any hindrance. It allows people to carry out online transactions, bill payments and other online services available on the online platforms of these banks.

Banks will be closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla and Srinagar on 14 March due to the festival of Holi.
