‘There has been no delay in the merit cycle, and any claims to the contrary are incorrect,’ says Cognizant on reports of salary hike delay.
Cognizant says with the August 2025 cycle, the majority of our associates will have received five merit increases within the past four years.
Cognizant Salary Hike 2025: IT major Cognizant on Tuesday said the company has not delayed the salary hikes this year and that it will roll out wage increments in the month of August as it did last year. The clarification comes after reports claimed that the company has postponed its salary hikes.

In fact, with the August 2025 cycle, the majority of our associates will have received five merit increases within the past four years. There has been no delay in the merit cycle, and any claims to the contrary are incorrect,” Cognizant said in a statement.
It said the company will pay bonus to eligible associates mid-March, ensuring that its talented teams are consistently recognised for their contributions.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to recognising the hard work and dedication of our associates through merit increases and bonuses,” it added.
