The price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder in Delhi has now fallen to Rs 1,804 from Rs 1,818.5 earlier, which is a cut of Rs 14.5 per cylinder.
Commercial LPG now costs Rs 1,756 per 19-kg cylinder in Mumbai, Rs 1,911 in Kolkata and Rs 1,966 in Chennai.
In a relief to people on the New Year, oil marketing companies on January 1, 2025, reduced the price of commercial LPG cylinders. The price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder in Delhi has now fallen to Rs 1,804 from Rs 1,818.5 earlier, which is a cut of Rs 14.5 per cylinder. Apart from this, jet fuel or ATF prices were also cut by 1.54 per cent on Wednesday.
However, the price of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders remains unchanged.
The latest cut comes after five straight monthly hikes in commercial LPG price. Rates were hiked by Rs 16.5 per 19-kg cylinder at the last revision on December 1. In five price increases, commercial LPG rates were hiked by Rs 172.5 per 19-kg cylinder. Rates are now at their highest level in one year.
LPG Price Variations Across Cities
Commercial LPG now costs Rs 1,756 per 19-kg cylinder in Mumbai, Rs 1,911 in Kolkata and Rs 1,966 in Chennai.
Prices of ATF and LPG differ from state to state depending on the incidence of local taxes including VAT.
No Change in Domestic LPG Prices
The rate of cooking gas used in domestic households, however, remained unchanged at Rs 803 per 14.2-kg cylinder.
ATF Prices Cut in January
The aviation turbine fuel (ATF) price was reduced by Rs 1,401.37 per kilolitre, or 1.54 per cent, to Rs 90,455.47 per kl in the national capital – home to one of the busiest airports in the country, according to state-owned fuel retailers.
