A majority of Cognizant employees are eligible for the bonus payout.
IT major Cognizant has started rolling out letters informing about bonus payouts in range of 85-115 per cent for eligible employees, news agency PTI has reported citing sources. A majority of associates (employees) are eligible for the bonus payout.
Cognizant, this week, began sending out mailers (eLetters) informing about bonus payouts for 2024, sources told PTI. “Eligible associates will receive bonus eLetters this week. Payouts will be issued throughout March and April based on individual country payroll schedules,” the report cited sources as saying.
The bonus is at the highest level in three years, said the mailer sent to employees.
Cognizant has also informed that it will give merit pay increases (salary hikes) effective August 1, 2025, one year after the previous increase.
Cognizant Salary Hike 2025
Last week, reports suggested that Cognizant has delayed its salary hike till August. Responding to this, the IT company said the company has not delayed the salary hikes this year and that it will roll out wage increments in the month of August as it did last year.
“As part of this ongoing commitment, merit increases for eligible associates will be awarded in August, exactly one year after the prior cycle. In fact, with the August 2025 cycle, the majority of our associates will have received five merit increases within the past four years. There has been no delay in the merit cycle, and any claims to the contrary are incorrect,” a Cognizant spokesperson said last week.
It said the company will pay bonus to eligible associates mid-March, ensuring that its talented teams are consistently recognised for their contributions.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to recognising the hard work and dedication of our associates through merit increases and bonuses,” it added.
