Blake lively expressed her deep grief over the death of Michelle Trachtenberg with whom she shared the screen in “Gossip Girl.”
The 37-year-old actress took to Instagram to post an emotional tribute to Trachtenberg, who was found dead in New York City on February 23, along with a photo during a scene from their series.
It is pertinent to mention that Lively starred as Serena van der Woodsen in the show that ran from 2007-2012 while Trachtenberg played her former friend turned enemy Georgina Sparks.
“This was the first day I met Michelle,” Lively began in her caption. “She was electricity. You knew when she entered a room because the vibration changed. Everything she did, she did 200%.”
The It Ends With Us actress went on to write, “She laughed the fullest at someone’s joke, she faced authority head on when she felt something was wrong, she cared deeply about her work, she was proud to be a part of this community and industry as painful as it could be sometimes, she was fiercely loyal to her friends and brave for those she loved, she was big and bold and distinctly herself.”
While noting about their lost connection with time Lively said, “Time passes. You take for granted that you get the chance to see an old friend. To paraphrase, the real tragedies in life are the ones that blindside you on an idle Tuesday,” she wrote.
“The world lost a deeply sensitive and good person in Michelle. May her work and her huge heart be remember by those who were lucky enough to experience her fire,” she concluded.
