Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been under fire for some on the internet called “photo op” when visiting the victims of the LA fires.
But an unnamed friend of the royal couple called out the critics, telling Page Six, “It’s offensive to Meghan and Harry that anybody would think this is merely a photo opportunity.”
On the other hand, Victor Gordo, mayor of Pasadena, where the pair visited, also said they were “great people” with “great personalities.”
“They really buoyed the spirits of the first responders. We visited the command post at the Rose Bowl, and people were very happy to see them,” he shared.
Besides this controversy, Harry and Meghan faced another after a piece in Vanity Fair claimed that the latter team had a “conversation” with a publisher about a potential book on “post-divorce.”
According to a source, the alleged meeting was set to see if the publisher would “theoretically be interested” if there were — despite no veracity in the divorce rumours — however, a source close to the pair denied the meeting, calling it “distressing.”
