Kate Middleton beamed with joy as she stepped out for another royal engagement as reports of a major new change emerged.
The Princess of Wales, who reportedly ordered new rules for her future appearances, beamed as visited the HMP Styal’s Mother and Baby Unit.
On Tuesday, the Palace issued an update on the Princess with highlights from the visit and a message alongside the carousel post.
“A visit to HMP Styal’s Mother and Baby Unit learning about the vital role of strong, loving, and consistent relationships in a child’s early development,” the statement read. “Run by @actionforchildrenuk the unit provides crucial support for new and expectant mothers in prison, helping to strengthen bonds and break cycles of reoffending.”
The update from the Princess of Wales came after a spokesperson from Kensington Palace clarified Kate’s stance on the new protocol for her appearances as future Queen.
Previously, a palace source cited by The Sunday Times revealed that Kensington Palace will no longer reveal Kate’s outfit details for engagements.
“There is an absolute feeling that it [the public work] is not about what the Princess is wearing, the insider explained. “She wants the focus to be on the really important issues – the people and the causes she is spotlighting.”
However, the spokesperson then clarified that the claims did not come from the Princess of Wales directly.
“The comments that appeared in the article were from me, not The Princess of Wales. The comments that were reported should not be directly attributed to The Princess of Wales,” the source told GB News.
“To be clear, there has been no change in our approach to sharing information about Her Royal Highness’s clothing.”
