Prince William beams as future king receives special honour

Prince William received a delightful welcome on Tuesday during important engagement, after the royal made a key appearance alongside Kate and the royal family a day prior.

The Prince of Wales beamed with joy as he stepped out in Willenhall, West Midlands, following the significant service at Westminster Abbey for Commonwealth Day.

William visited Sporting Khalsa FC to check out a referee training course, which had been running since July 2023, as part of the Football Association’s goal. The aim is to recruit 1,000 people from Black, Asian and mixed heritage backgrounds into the position.

Before he entered the venue, the future king was swarmed by hundreds of schoolchildren and locals who had gathered to meet him. Seeing the enthusiastic welcome, William couldn’t help but joke that he just made a world record, via The Mirror.

Sharing hugs with kids from Fibbersley Park Academy, William said that he had “broken the record for the most amount of high fives in 10 minutes”.

Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton is praised for her warmth towards children and how she interacts with them. However, William, who is dad to Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, also proved that he is a pro with children as well.
