The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced its ‘Team of the Tournament’ for Champions Trophy 2025, featuring a total of 12 players, with a strong representation from India.

Out of the eight teams that participated in the tournament, only three teams have players in the ICC’s selected team. India leads with six players, followed by New Zealand with four, and Afghanistan with two.

Notably, no players from the semi-finalists, South Africa and Australia, made the cut, and no players from host-nation Pakistan were included.

India’s Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Mohammad Shami, and Varun Chakravarthy have all been named to the team. New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra, Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, and Matt Henry are also featured.

Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran and Azmatullah Omarzai complete the line-up, with India’s Axar Patel named as the 12th man.

The selection highlights India’s dominance in the tournament, with key players from both New Zealand and Afghanistan also receiving recognition for their outstanding performances.
