Liverpool, Adidas agree multi-year kit deal from 2025 | The Express Tribune

Liverpool FC has announced a multi-year partnership with Adidas, bringing the German sportswear giant back as the club’s official kit supplier from August 1, 2025.

The deal marks Adidas’ third tenure with the Reds, following previous partnerships from 1985 to 1996 and 2006 to 2012.

Adidas will provide match kits, training gear, and culture wear for the men’s, women’s, and academy teams, as well as LFC Foundation staff.

The move ends Liverpool’s five-year partnership with Nike, which reportedly generated over £60 million per season through a combination of a flat fee and merchandise royalties.

Sources indicate the Adidas deal represents a significant financial increase, though its total value depends on on-field performance and global sales. The club have described it as a multi-year deal but it is understood it is for the next five years and worth in excess of £300m.

It is believed to be in line with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City who are paid around £60m a year in deals with Adidas, Nike, and Puma respectively.

LFC CEO Billy Hogan expressed enthusiasm over the reunion: “Everyone at the club is incredibly excited to welcome Adidas back into the LFC family. We have enjoyed fantastic success together in the past and created some of the most iconic LFC kits of all time. We’d like to thank Nike for their support over the last five years and wish them well for the future.”

Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden echoed the excitement, stating: “Liverpool is one of the biggest and most iconic names in world football. The jerseys worn during previous partnerships are some of the greatest ever created. We are honoured to once again provide the players with cutting-edge technology to perform at the highest level.”

Liverpool are expected to begin their 2025 pre-season schedule in the current Nike kit before switching to Adidas in August. The club’s new home and away kits will be unveiled closer to the launch date.
