Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has sold his apartment in Mumbai’s Borivali East for $0.49 million, making an 84% profit on the property he purchased in 2017.
According to property registration documents, the transaction was officially recorded in March 2025. The 1,073 sq. ft. apartment, located in Oberoi Sky City, includes two parking spaces.
Kumar originally bought the unit for $0.27 million in November 2017, reflecting a substantial appreciation in value over the years.
The sale incurred a stamp duty of $29 thousand and registration charges of $343, as per the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) records.
In January 2025, the actor also sold another unit in the same building for $0.48 million, indicating strong demand for luxury real estate in the area.
Oberoi Sky City, a 25-acre residential project, has also attracted other Bollywood celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, who purchased multiple properties there in 2024.
Kumar, one of India’s highest-earning actors, has a history of strategic real estate investments.
He has an estimated net worth of approximately $28,62 million as of 2025. This substantial wealth stems from his prolific film career, brand endorsements, and strategic investments.
Kumar’s upcoming projects include Jolly LLB 3, scheduled for release on 18 April 2025. In this legal drama, he reprises his role as advocate Jagdishwar “Jolly” Mishra, alongside Arshad Warsi.
Another anticipated film is Housefull 5, set to hit theatres on 6 June 2025. This installment of the popular comedy franchise features an ensemble cast, including Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Sanjay Dutt.
