Pakistani actress and model Azeka Daniel has revealed that she has faced discrimination in the showbiz industry because of her religion.
Recently, Azeka appeared as a guest on a private TV show, where she spoke about the significant customs and traditions in the entertainment industry and the discrimination she has experienced.
Azeka explained that while the showbiz industry is often seen as a liberal field, this perception is far from accurate. She shared that she had to endure discrimination from well-known figures in the industry in front of a crew of 50 people, yet no one stepped forward to challenge the situation.
The actress mentioned that she never spoke out about the discrimination she faced, as she feared it would result in being sidelined.
Azeka Daniel also revealed that actors in the industry today often try to take over each other’s roles, and some even refuse to work with fellow actors who have fewer followers on Instagram.
She added that these people focus more on everything except acting. Azeka expressed gratitude that she had never engaged in such behaviour herself.
