Filmmaker Karan Johar made a stylish entrance at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party hosted by Radhika Jones at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on March 02, 2025, in Beverly Hills, California.
Looking dapper in black, Karan Johar was styled in Gaurav Gupta Couture. Crafted in black velvet, the Serpentine Swan Tux featured Gaurav Gupta’s signature metallic sculpted detailing, featuring a motif combining wings, a swan’s form, and a serpent body draped with chains for added movement.
A blend of structure and fluidity, this Gaurav Gupta couture masterpiece brought a distinct edge to formalwear. Styled by celebrity fashion stylist Eka Lakhani, Karan’s stylish look was further enhanced with Tyaani Jewellery, featuring a cross necklace in polki and diamond, which Karan wore as a bracelet. Karan completed the stylish look with a pair of Balmain sunglasses.
Karan Johar definitely knows how to ace the red carpet with his new love for monochrome styles. While the ensemble is in a classic black hue, the gold detailing of the sculpted accessory adds timeless opulence to Karan’s red-carpet style. An epitome of grace and glamour, Karan not only celebrated Indian craftsmanship on a global stage but also gave it a contemporary edge with his dapper and demure style.
Karan’s hair and makeup was done by celebrity hair and makeup artist Rachel Burney. Eka was joined by her style team, including Arpita, Fatima Baluch and Rhea Sethi. The behind-the-scenes images were captured by Taran Sodhi.
Karan has been sharing candid moments with producer Guneet Monga and comedian Zarna Garg on Instagram. The prestigious Vanity Fair Oscar Party was also attended by an array of celebrities, including producer Guneet Monga Kapoor, whose film Anuja was nominated in the Best Short Film category at the 97th Academy Awards. While the film may have missed winning an Oscar, the India representation was strong at the Academy Awards this year.
