Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) will close on a luxurious and glamorous note with Asia’s leading couturier, Manish Malhotra’s fashion show on February 6, 2025.
Manish Malhotra marks 20 years of his eponymous brand alongside 35 years in the world of cinema as a leading costume designer. Today, as a brand, Manish has not only revolutionised the visual language of Indian cinema but has also transformed the luxury fashion industry with his design aesthetics.
From being Bollywood’s favourite designer to supporting craftsmen and artisanal crafts from all across India, Manish has revolutionsed Indian dressing globally. From the ethereal Mijwan chikankari or the brocade tales of Banaras, his storytelling through fashion is a beautiful amalgamation of traditional and contemporary India.
From the legendary Rekha to Michael Jackson to Naomi Campbell, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Ria Bachchan to Zayn Malik, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna to Alia Bhatt and many more have worn Manish’s creations and celebrated India’s rich cultural heritage and artistry through his couture.
In 2023, Manish Malhotra inaugurated his flagship store in Dubai, which marked a momentous day for Indian fashion. The store seamlessly connects the rich tapestry of Indian haute couture with the Middle Eastern penchant for lavishness. Additionally, Manish Malhotra also launched two other new ventures—Manish Malhotra High Jewellery and a film production company called Stage 5 Production—extending his creative vision into the realms of cinematic storytelling and high jewellery design.

Rekha
Rekha exuded royalty in a customised archival ensemble featuring a two tone dupion silk long kurta with a Hyderabadi style two-toned tissue organza khada dupatta.
Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone looked radiant in the Bordeaux two-tone velvet lehenga from the The Persian Story couture collection from 2016/2017. The lehenga and blouse featured intricate chandelier inspired floral embroidery in gold zardosi, badla and Swarovski crystals.
Alia Bhatt
Bringing in a regal element of glamour to the ramp, Alia Bhatt looked stunning at The Bridal Couture Show 2023-24 in a lush grey velvet lehenga, illustrated with meticulous high-shine silver nakshi hand embroidery and delicate pearls. Her ensemble was heightened by an extraordinary head veil. Enhancing the overall aesthetic while maintaining individuality, the signature Manish Malhotra veil flowed like a silken river down her back, the edges whispering tales of refined craftsmanship and masterful design, proving once again that in fashion, every detail matters.
Nora Fatehi
Inspired by the era of 1950s glamour, Manish designed a theatrical spectacle for his showstopper Nora Fatehi for IIFA 2023. The elegant sapphire blue silk gown with a peplum corset was embroidered in Manish Malhotra signature Taban embroidery.
