Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi became the subject of a fake news video that falsely claimed she had died in an accident.
The video, posted by an unverified Instagram account, misrepresented the incident as a fatal accident involving the actress.
However, the claim was swiftly debunked by netizens who criticized the account owner, Sufiyan Khan, for spreading misinformation.
The video gained million views, shows an individual participating in an adventure sport and suffering an accidental fall from a height.
This footage was falsely attributed to Nora Fatehi’s death. On the same day the fake news emerged, Nora Fatehi took to Instagram to thank her fans for their engagement with her new song, Snake, and encouraged them to use the hashtag #DanceWithNora for a chance to be featured on her feed.
Despite the misleading content, Nora Fatehi’s fans quickly condemned the spreading of false news. Many urged others not to trust unverified reports. One fan remarked, “Why are you spreading fake news?” while another added, “Shame on you for posting something like that just to gain attention.”
