Pakistani actor and businessman Dodi Khan has announced that he will not be marrying Rakhi Sawant, despite his earlier marriage proposal. On Thursday, Khan took to Instagram to clarify that, despite his previous marriage proposal, they will not be tying the knot.
In his video message, Khan explained the reasons behind his decision. He mentioned that he proposed to Rakhi after growing fond of her due to her strength and resilience through life’s struggles, including losing her parents and overcoming a traumatic relationship.
He also praised Rakhi for embracing Islam, performing Umrah, and changing her name to Fatima, which deeply impressed him.
However, Khan stated that the negative reactions he received made him reconsider the proposal. “I have received a lot of messages and videos, and I cannot tolerate it,” he explained.
While he affirmed that Rakhi will always remain a good friend, he assured her that she would find happiness in Pakistan, adding, “You might not be my bride, but I promise you will become the daughter-in-law of Pakistan. I’ll make sure you marry one of my brothers.”
Rakhi was visibly heartbroken after Khan’s refusal as she expressed her sorrow in her response by posting teary-eyed and broken-heart emojis in the comments section.
Fans of Rakhi, who have been following the situation closely, also expressed their disappointment. Some questioned Khan’s initial proposal, with one fan asking, “Why propose without thinking?” Another commented, “That’s so sad. You and Rakhi should marry regardless of media, live a happy life — people will always criticize.”
Rakhi, who was previously married to Adil Khan Durrani before parting ways in 2023, had also been married to Ritesh Raj Singh before their split in 2022.
Despite the end of her previous relationships, Rakhi has remained a figure of public interest, and this recent turn of events has left her fans emotionally invested.
