Louis Tomlinson continued to melt his fans’ hearts during his trip to India.
To his admirers’ surprise, Louis, 33, is the new One Direction singer to ace the desi accent after former bandmate Zayn Malik.
In a recent interview with India Today, following the Back To You singer’s gig at Lollapalooza Music Festival, he teased that he would make something in the local language.
However, a problem is that Louis is not entirely familiar with the language. The interviewer promptly resolved the issue by offering him Hindi lessons, starting with the “best word, Pyar [meaning love].”
He instantly picked it up and pronounced it correctly on the first try, which led the host to cheer him, saying he already knew Hindi, as he had previously said “Namaste.”
“I am practically fluent at this stage,” the Drag Me Down singer boasted but was quickly humbled by the host as she playfully noted, “Fluent is a stretch.”
In the comments section of the video clip posted on Instagram, fans expressed their excitement over listening to the Night Changes vocalist’s desi accent.
“I can listen to say him pyaar for the rest of my life,” one claimed.
“NO WAY I HEARD HIM SAY PYAR,” a second fan exclaimed.
“LOUIS SAYING ‘PYAAR’ WASN’T ON MY BINGO CARD [crying emoji],” another echoed the same sentiments.
“His hindi accent is so sexy , say that again,” a fourth gushed. Meanwhile, a fifth asked the Dusk Till Dawn hitmaker to help his friend, as he is actually good with the desi accent
“Zayn thoda apne bestie ko hindi ya urdu sikhalena,” the fan added.
During his Indian tour, Louis, sent fans wild with his electrifying first-ever concert in Mumbai and is enjoying his time outside the gig by hopping bars, devouring butter chicken and exploring the city.
